The core of daily maintenance for prefabricated roller shutters lies in regularly cleaning and lubricating the tracks, checking the condition of components, and adjusting the maintenance frequency according to the usage environment to ensure smooth operation and long-term durability.
1. Daily Cleaning: Keep the surface and tracks clean.
Weekly Dusting: Use a feather duster, soft brush, or vacuum cleaner with a narrow nozzle to gently sweep the curtain surface and track grooves to prevent dust accumulation and jamming.
Monthly Deep Cleaning: For easily soiled areas such as kitchens and street-facing areas, wipe the curtain with a neutral detergent and warm water dampened with a soft cloth. Do not use corrosive solvents such as alcohol or gasoline.
Special Note for Electric Roller Shutters: Always disconnect the power before cleaning to prevent liquid from seeping into the motor or control box and causing a short circuit.
2. Lubrication of Tracks and Sliding Parts
Reduce wear and improve smoothness. Every 3-6 months, apply lithium-based grease or silicone-based lubricant to the guide rails, rollers, chains, and other transmission parts. Avoid using grease or machine oil to prevent dust accumulation and sludge formation. For beaded or hand-cranked systems, apply a suitable amount of paraffin wax to maintain smoothness and prevent rust.
After lubrication, manually run the system a few times to ensure even distribution of the grease.
